Spring is nearly upon us, and as we prepare for longer days, birds chirping and—fingers crossed—sunnier weather, we thought it’d be a great time to highlight some of the fabulous things there are to do on Bainbridge Island. From night hikes and nature walks to entertainment and a Mother’s Day treat, welcome the season of change with some stellar, not-to-be-missed events.

AMOROUS AMPHIBIANS NIGHT HIKE AT ISLANDWOOD   |   MARCH 30

Learn about native frogs and their habits during an indoor presentation, then head outside at dusk to hunt for frogs, newts, toads and salamanders through the wetlands of the Cattail Marsh.

As part of the DogEar Festival, BIMA will bring Fred Hagstrom, Carletta Carrington Wilson, Ellen Knudson, and Jeffrey Morin together to discuss their approach to social justice through book arts.

Bainbridge Performing Arts presents Mamma Mia! Head down an unforgettable journey with a daughter, her mother, and three possible dads set to the tune of hits by ABBA.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Bainbridge Island Wineries present a wine and cheese themed “Wine on the Rock” with wine and cheese pairings, a special event wine glass, and a four-bottle wine tote.
